At Viva Med Spa & Wellness, we use the finest European Azulene wax that is ideal for extra sensitive skin. Because there is no sticky residue, hair as short as 1mm can be effortlessly removed. Gently exfoliate the night before with a scrub or acne cleanser. Take a warm bath to prep the skin before your wax. The first time will be the most uncomfortable, especially if you’ve been shaving prior to it. People often leave us pleasantly relieved that the wax wasn’t as painful as they expected. Every wax after the first one gets easier, especially when your hair starts growing in finer and we weaken that follicle! Being fuzz-free is so worth a couple minutes of discomfort!

- Exfoliate 48 hours before a wax treatment for best results.
- Avoid using creams, lotions or oils before a treatment.
- If in doubt about sensitivity to waxing, try a patch test first.
POST WAXING TIPS
- Try to stay out of the sun for exposed skin for up to 48 hours after treatment.
- If sun exposure is necessary, apply sunblock (we recommend the SuperGoop Body Spray.
- Avoid hot showers until redness (if any) subsides.
- Exfoliate 72 hours after a waxing treatment to reduce the chances of ingrown hairs. (Apply Colloidal Silver Gel or Finipil for lifting the hair and reducing in-growns)

A Brazilian wax is a waxing service that completely removes pubic hair from the front, upper thighs, and butt. Based on your personal preference, you can leave a small strip of hair at the front.
Absolutely! Just keep in mind that your pubic area is often more sensitive during this time, so you may experience more discomfort than usual. In order to successfully complete the service, you will need to wear a tampon.
A Brazilian wax typically lasts three to six weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows back. We recommend waxing every three to four weeks after your first wax for the best results. This will ensure that hair grows back slower and thinner each time.
To get the best results, hair should be about a ¼ inch or about the length of a sprinkle, so that the wax can properly adhere to it.
It’s always best to refer to your doctor if you have any questions about bikini waxing services.
For prescribed creams like retin-a or differin, we advise that you stop use seven days prior to your reservation and do not resume use until seven days after your bikini wax.
We will not wax you if you’re on accutane or have been in the past 6 months. It’s very dangerous to wax while on accutane and a doctor’s note will be needed to receive services. This is why it’s so important to inform us of what medications you may be taking so we can provide you with a safe, comfortable waxing experience.
For the best results, getting a facial every four to six weeks is recommended to maintain healthy skin and address any concerns.
