Dr. Jose Benitez is the Medical Director of Viva Medspa & Wellness, bringing years of medical expertise and a passion for transformative aesthetic and wellness care. As a board-certified physician and a dedicated advocate for holistic beauty, Dr. Benitez takes a personalized approach to helping clients achieve their most confident, radiant selves.

Specializing in non-invasive cosmetic treatments such as Botox®, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation, and body contouring, Dr. Benitez is committed to providing safe, effective, and natural-looking results. His attention to detail and patient-focused care ensure that every treatment is tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

He has had a fulfilling career in Family Medicine, focusing on Adult Medicine and Geriatrics, before transitioning to Medical Aesthetics in 2018. Since then, he has specialized in the safe and artful use of cosmetic injectables, combining his knowledge of dermatology and skincare to enhance his patients’ confidence and well-being.

Dr. Benitez has lived in Spain, Miami, South Carolina, and the Dominican Republic, but for the past 17 years, he has proudly called Rhode Island home. He resides in Coventry with his wife and two beloved cats, Emma and Oreo. A devoted family man, he cherishes spending time with his four children and two granddaughters.

Beyond his medical career, Dr. Benitez is also a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served six years of active duty and six years in the reserves. His dedication to service—both in the military and in medicine—reflects his commitment to helping others live healthier, more confident lives.
